Samsung L700- new cellphone with an old digital camera named

Samsung L700Samsung has recently unveiled one of its new mobile phones, the L700, which is a mid-end device that will be released on lots of markets around the world, except the Americas and Africa.

The thing is that this new handset has exactly the same name as another Samsung device, which is a 7.2 Megapixel digital camera. The South Korean phone manufacturer seems to feel no need to differentiate its own products from one another, a move that is bound to produce confusion among customers. After all, it’s not like Samsung’s employees have to hold long brainstorming sessions when coming up with names for its devices – a changed character in “L700″ would have easily solved the problem.

Anyway, the confusion that the new phone might produce with its name aside, let’s see what the handset has to offer. The L700 is a slim candybar that measures only 109 x 46 x 12.8 millimeters. Its features include: quad-band GMS connectivity with EDGE, plus 3G/UMTS for high data transfer speeds,

Besides the golden version of L700 seen in the pictures available, the new Samsung candybar also has a purple version as well as a more-common silver one, so there will be three final colors to choose from.

Samsung did not announce the price of L700, but it did say the handset would be available starting July, first in Eastern Europe, then all over the “old continent” as well as in Asia and the Middle East.
